Saunas
Our saunas are located right on the edge of Lake Pyhäjärvi. Varala’s saunas areas are excellent for meetings, company training days, and celebrations. All sauna facilities are available until 10pm. All below prices include VAT within the price.
Hirsisauna building
In Hirsisauna, there is one sauna for 7 people, an adjacent room (Saunatupa) for 12 people and a wooden hot tub that fits 10 people. In the summer, the space can accommodate over 20 people. The large deck with floor to ceiling glass walls has an outdoor fire place and heaters in the ceiling, which allows for outdoor lounging when it is cold outside. There is a staircase into the lake right off the deck.
AV-equipment: Flat-Screen TV and CD / DVD players. Projectors and flip charts are available upon request.
Kitchen equipment: Refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker, water heater, and dishwasher. There is also a full crockery set for 12 people as well as glasses for water, wine, cognac, schnapps, and champagne flutes.
There is a hair dryer and towels for 12 guests in the dressing room.
PRICES for Hirsisauna and the wooden hot tub

During weeks 18-24 (1.5.-22.6.) and 33-41 (14.8.- 9.10) Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings are billed according to Friday and Sunday prices.
The basic fee listed above includes a 3 hour sauna shift (4 hours if the wooden hot tub is also booked), the facilities, equipment and crockery for five hours before 10pm. Additional hour 10pm-11pm is 150€.
Rantasauna building
Lakeside Sauna Building 2, Pyhäjärvi C & D, was completed in spring 2025.
The lakeside saunas are located in two buildings:
Pyhäjärvi A & B
Pyhäjärvi C & D
During the day, the spaces function as meeting rooms and can easily be transformed into evening event venues. One or more saunas can be included in the reservation. The rooms can be separated with connecting doors.
With full capacity, the facilities can accommodate approximately 150 people.
For both celebrations and sauna evenings, the Lakeside Sauna facilities work well for groups of about 80 people.
Pyhäjärvi A
For approx. 40 people.
Equipment: 75” screen, Bluetooth speaker, and flipchart. The space includes both indoor and outdoor fireplaces, as well as a terrace.
Pyhäjärvi B
For approx. 20 people.
Equipment: 65” screen, Bluetooth speaker, and flipchart. The space includes an indoor fireplace and a terrace.
Pyhäjärvi C and D
For approx. 80 people. The space can also be divided into two smaller meeting rooms.
Equipment: screen, Bluetooth speaker, and flipchart.
Saunas
Saunas can only be reserved together with the lounge and fireplace rooms.
Pyhäjärvi A & B: Saunas 1–3
The saunas accommodate approx. 8–12 people and are located between the fireplace rooms. You may reserve 1–3 saunas together with the fireplace rooms.
Pyhäjärvi C & D: Saunas 4–6
The saunas accommodate approx. 8–12 people and are located at the ends of the lounge areas. In addition to the entire building, you can reserve 1–2 saunas for space C and 1 sauna for space D.
Pyhäjärvi C & D: The space can be divided into separate sections.
Prices 2025
The prices of the Pyhäjärvi lakeside saunas depend on the selected building, the number of saunas, and the time of reservation. Prices vary for weekdays, weekends, and seasonal periods 1 May–23 June and 12 August–20 October 2025.

Discounts available for organisations and for those staying with us overnight.
